Aerial & Circus Program

The aerial program typically attracts a more artistic and flexible oriented person. The class offers Silk, Hammock, and Lyra. The students are encouraged to work on basic gymnastics skills such as handstands, cartwheels, acro-yoga, and contortion. There are other specialty apparatuses available for group, split private and private classes

Recreation:

Students will get an introduction to silks, lyra and hammock. The main focus is engaging students to new form of movement in a safe and supportive environment. This is a course meant to provide students with tools for movement creation, choreographic development and opportunities to create their own artistic works. We do have several showcases throughout the year and additional classes or private lessons to create a student's routine for the showcases are available. 

Performance:

This track is meant to prepare students who wish to perform commercially, at private events, for special events, or just because. Providing showcase opportunities, professional connections, and performance development in their artistic practice. Students will work on developing an act on their aperati of choices, while learning various performance and movement techniques. This class has open enrollment year round but students must be evaluated before entry into the class.

Additional Information

What To Wear

We suggest form fitting athletic wear like leotards leggings, joggers or long sleeve athletic shirts. Please keep in mind the following:

  • It is suggested that elbows torso and knees be covered to protect students from getting burned!

  • Avoid zippers they will tear the fabrics and press into your body causing discomfort

  • Students should wear whatever they feel comfortable moving in.

 

Safety

Help us protect you and our equipment, so we can all continue to have fun. Please abide by the following:

  • If students are wearing rings or jewerly they will be asked to take them off to protect the abrics from tearing

  • Please avaoid using lotion or lubricants before class as they will rub off on the fabrics geting the equipment slippery and dirty. Students will be asked to wash hands if necessary.
