Teams

The SB Gymnastics Club has been opened since 1975. Over the years we have had kids in all levels of competitions and many making it to the National level in USAIGC levels 7-10. We are a gym that prides itself not only on having great gymnasts but also well rounded kids. We are successful at all levels but we are also focused on giving all gymnasts a chance to be their best no matter on age or natural ability. Many gyms will hold their kids back just to possibly win etc. We choose to have our kids at the levels that they can perform well but still be a challenge to them. We would like to not only to have the gymnasts be successful but also like what they are doing and be excited to come to the gym and learn new skills. We do practice fewer hours than many gyms we compete will but we still are quite successful! With the less hours we have kids who are able to be involved with not only gymnastics but also other classes and teams that they enjoy- they also have down time to just be kids! With this we have kids who's first priority is gymnastics and those kids never miss practice and put their full focus on gymnastics and they are at the top of the podium at competition. We have others who like gymnastics and being on team but their focus may be on other things. They still get the opportunity to participate and learn this wonderful sport but they do not do as well in the competitions but they are happy to be there and be part of the team. With the less hours we also find the kids have less overuse injuries and stay in the sport longer.
